Concept Health was engaged to transform an existing office suite in Glen Iris into a dedicated dental imaging centre. The brief was clear: deliver a contemporary, fresh, and highly functional environment that supports efficient workflows and a comfortable patient experience—all within tight spatial constraints.
The design was inspired by Concept Health’s earlier work at Curae Health in Abbotsford, adapting its clean, calming aesthetic to suit a more compact footprint. The new fitout features dedicated radiology rooms tailored to specific imaging requirements, a bright and welcoming waiting area for patients, and careful planning to maximise every square metre of space.
Working within just 120sqm, the team faced the challenge of fitting specialist imaging rooms, patient amenities, and staff workflow zones without compromising comfort or compliance. This required meticulous planning, close client collaboration, and smart zoning solutions to meet radiology standards while maintaining a natural, open feel.
A key element of the build was navigating compliance requirements for radiology, including the integration of lead-lined plasterboard for shielding and ensuring all medical equipment was seamlessly accommodated. Despite these technical demands, the resulting space feels open and airy, with abundant natural light and a restrained, contemporary material palette that promotes calm and confidence.
This project embodies Concept Health’s approach to healthcare fitouts: human-centred, compliant, and beautifully simple. By balancing technical precision with a welcoming design, the new imaging centre provides a professional, efficient, and patient-friendly environment that meets the client’s needs today while remaining adaptable for the future.
