Project Overview

Concept Health partnered with GATHR to design and deliver their new flagship facility at 309 George Street, Sydney. The project focused on creating a premium destination that combines functional performance spaces with calming treatment and recovery environments.

The result is a cohesive wellness experience supporting clients throughout their entire health journey, from consultation and treatment to movement and recovery.

Client Vision

GATHR sought to establish a flagship Australian location reflecting their extensive experience in wellness while delivering a refined, welcoming environment for members. The space needed to feel warm and elevated while remaining practical for daily operations.

Planning & Key Facilities

The 700sqm facility was carefully planned to balance service delivery and member comfort, including:

• 200sqm gym and movement space
• Two consultation rooms
• Seven treatment rooms
• Dedicated member lounge
• Amenities and support spaces

Circulation planning ensures smooth client movement while maintaining privacy and operational efficiency.

Design Approach

A bespoke design language rooted in biophilic principles was developed to create calm and connection. Warm earthy tones, timber finishes and tactile materials form a welcoming environment that feels restorative and professional.

Consult rooms adopt a more restrained palette to support quieter, private interactions while maintaining consistency across the venue.

Design Highlight

A dramatic suspended lighting feature incorporating copper-toned mesh creates a strong focal point and reinforces the premium identity of the facility.

Delivery Challenges

Existing base building conditions, including mechanical services and lift access constraints, required careful coordination to achieve the desired layout while preserving design quality and operational functionality.

Outcome

The completed facility delivers a premium wellness destination within Sydney CBD, providing an environment that supports performance, recovery and client comfort while positioning GATHR strongly within the wellness market.
